VOCAL INSTRUCTOR
The New Mickey Mouse Club challenged me to emulate a wide variety of artists, ranging from Bonnie Raitt to Mariah Carey. During those seven years on the show, I developed a large palette of vocal styles, as well as the flexibility to deliver life and energy to any song, no matter how vocally simple or demanding.
At New York University, I continued my vocal training in musical theater technique. I focused on the specifics of "legit" and "belt" voices, which include mouth position/articulation, breath control, release of tension, and theatrical motivation.
From my performances and education, I have developed my own philosophy of vocal training. I blend singing from the heart and soul with technique that protects the voice from unnecessary strain and tension. I increase the vocal range and power of my students by enabling them to liberate their voices and minds through my theory of "No Fear".
